IN THE BEGINNING…

Since 2005, react has been committed to using 100% of public donations to directly support the children in Kenya. We understand the tension that donors feel to partner with others but at the same time being uncertain how much of donations are actually used for the children instead of costly overhead.

From the start we have had a handful of private donors that have donated specifically to support overhead costs such as Canadian office expenses, Kenyan infrastructure costs and things like motorcycles. This has enabled react to utilize 100% of public donations directly for the costs of child support instead of using a smaller percentage for the intended cause. Since we believe strongly in being as culturally-relevant and cost-effective as possible, we are further able to maximize the effectiveness of donations so that our partners can confidently join us.
